I beat the undeserving GT 70-28 last night. Boykin finished his college career with 10 TDs. He was on pace for something epic, but I fell asleep in the third quarter and woke up with 3rd and 82 from inside my own 1 and didn't score again from there. Oh well. RTA.

Meat, are you going to play your bowl game? Or was your sabbatical going to end with the new season?

Don't remember which way you were going to go.

Just the Rose Bowl and Meat's Bowl game to play. If Meat isn't playing, I'll advance to the offseason after we play on Thursday.

Eh, I'll play it tonight. I didn't get magically good in the past few weeks, but I'll try. Well, I can't promise I'll try, but I'll try to try.

Thank you ... like I said, very anticlimactic.

    -----------

Like I told Hank in an Xbox message, I got too cute at the end of the game.

Had a 31-14 lead with less than two minutes left. Got the ball back after he scored and worked it down the field. He had to use timeouts. Stuck with a second-and-long (I think) and I needed a first down to milk the game out. Saw him blitzing a safety and went for a play-action pass, which was intercepted. Hank drove down and scored to make it 31-28.

If I played it smarter, it would have been a more convincing win — but a win is a win.

Wanted to get some other guys involved than just Belton. Plus, Hank did a good job against Belton and took away some of my better plays.

This was the rubber match between Hank and I in the Rose Bowl. Hank won the first one, I took the last two. I guess you could say this was destined, but that committee is going to hear from me about leaving me out of the title game.

Like I told Rumple online, I had a few too many drops early in the game and that let him get ahead enough to hold the lead.

I also dropped an INT in the first half, from one of my better CBs (think he has five or six INT this year).

Also, I wasn't able to advance tonight since Meat isn't playing until later when I'll be sound asleep.

I'll advance Friday and then look to advance once per day as we plow through offseason stuff.
