Looks like it's two weeks from now so you won't have to worry about that.

    Tennessee 28, No. 8 Florida 14

I went up 14-0 in about two minutes and played pretty silly the rest of the way. Wanted to try some plays I wished I used against Jake and Rumple while also testing my QB and foolishly throwing some stupid picks. All in all, Tennessee has a win

Beat OU 42-17 in a game that was much closer than the score would indicate because of a bit of dumbassery on my part. Rumple will be happy to know that Ryan Reese is already an impact player and caught 12 passes for 180 yards and 2 TDs this week.

Looks like everyone is playing tonight, so it should be down to Hank shortly.

Dang. Should be a quick week. And I have a bye. Nooo. Funny stat: I have the No. 2 rush defense and No. 7 overall.

    FUCKING BULLSHIT

    (then i won)

EDIT: ECU 39, Maryland 38, OT. Great great game by Stormy. Really angry about something the computer allowed, but ... give me a few minutes to collect myself.

    OK.

First off, Stormy is legit. He was moving the ball down the field at will. I could not stop him in the air at all, unless I sacked him. The only time I forced a punt was when I gambled on a blitz on 3rd and 3 and caught his RB in the backfield. That was it.

So back and forth all game. I take a 24-21 lead on the first play of the fourth quarter on my running back's third touchdown run of the game. He takes the ball, moves down the field, gets into the red zone where somehow I stop him on third. He kicks a field goal, game's tied at 24-24. I get the ball, move it down the field. Hit my slot receiver on a 25-yard pass, getting tackled on the Maryland 1 with 19 seconds left.

Now I should back up here and note that I gave up a 103-yard kickoff return to him late in the second quarter. I believe he only had two timeouts, so if I played it smart, I would have taken three knees and kicked the field goal at the end. Which I kinda did. I ran the ball up the middle twice, he stopped me both times and called a time out. Third time, the running back gets touchdown #4. 14 seconds left.

Another option was to squib the kick, keep it out of his return guy's hands. I did not do this. As long as I kicked it full-blast, the ball usually sailed out of the end zone.

I did not get full power. His return guy got the ball three yards inside the end zone and brought it out.

But I stopped him! I stopped him around the 30 yard line, I believe. Down and everything.

    Except ...

There's a glitch in this game where you can be down, as in lying on your back clearly having made contact with the field, and for some reason, you can stand up and start running again. Usually nothing much comes out of it; the runner either picks up a couple of yards or gets hit again at the spot, this time ending the play.

    Wanna guess what happened?

He gets up, starts running, my guys aren't ready, last guy to beat falls short on the tackle and he finishes the 103-yard return with no time left to send the game to overtime.

To say I was unhappy is, um, something of an understatement.

He scored on the first OT drive. I throw a touchdown pass on the first play of my OT possession. Then I say fuck it, let's just end this now. My defense was atrocious and I felt a mistake was well overdue (no turnovers tonight, a rarity for me). Went to the shotgun, hit my slot guy on a crossing pattern at the 1 and he walked in. Ballgame.

It was a great game and he deserved to win. I was very close to hitting the "concede defeat" button after the return, because that just was total bullshit. Not Stormy's fault, because you play until the whistle blows. But it's a fucking infuriating glitch.

    Box to come ...

It was an epic game, but there's no way I deserved to win. I couldn't stop him & I basically had to play perfect on offense to stay in the game. I think I only attempted one pass longer than ten yards.

    Great game Meat.

Storm doesn't give himself enough credit. This is two games in a row that he had good passing number.

I struggled to stop him using a mix of zone and man coverages. I had to blitz a lot to have any hope of forcing a incompletion.

The big difference in our game was 2-3 series where I got a sack and then forced a punt and then was able to score.

Ahh yes that glitch. Happened numerous times between Jake and I, but nothing ever came of it. Sounds like a heck of a game.
