Again, I feel the need to apologize to all of you. You guys are out there dominating the computer, winning by scores of 75-0, tweaking lineups & gameplans & I'm consistently losing.

I didn't deserve to win last week (#4 Florida State), but managed to pull it out. It gave me some confidence going into this week against an average NC State team, with about 30 recruits in the house. I keep hearing Hank tell me "Just wait until you get recruits". Well, I'm not sure how I can land solid recruits by finishing under .500 every year.

I don't know how I forced the game to OT. They moved the ball against me at will & I struggled. NC State ran 69 plays to my 38. 21 first downs to my 9.

I'm just venting. I'm not planning on leaving the dynasty (unless I'm asked to, which I would completely understand). I'm just expressing my frustration as to how far behind I am compared to you guys. I suppose every league needs a bottom feeder & I'm happy to fill the role.

Don't leave. Like I said in a few posts above, some teams/games just turn it on and you can't stop them. It happened to me all game against Georgia and some of it against Florida - I barely beat both.

Don't worry, I'm not leaving. I still enjoy it. I just feel bad that I'm dragging you guys down.

This is a silly sentiment. Just because you're off to a slow start doesn't mean that will continue. If memory serves, we never played in the '09 dynasty, but I remember you doing really well. That'll come back soon enough.

I would offer advice, but since I usually have the same feelings you do, even skipping a couple of weeks at the end of the season because I was so frustrated with how I was doing, all I can say is keep chugging. You beat a top-5 team, so it's not as though you're completely inept, and I had more trouble stopping you than any human opponent to date. Plus at least you haven't lost to Louisiana Tech. Twice. And your recruiting wasn't bad last season.

You're also in a decent conference. I knew I wouldn't be especially good, since I hadn't played since 11 and was rarely competitive outside the 09 dynasty, so I picked a decent team in a crummy conference. That helped make the record respectable, even though I had some entirely too close calls against shit teams like Tulane and Florida Atlantic, and what was a 35-0 home loss to Middle Tennessee State (!) wiped away because the game froze as it was saving last season. You don't get as many breathers with the ACC and the human opponents, so there's that.

Hey, I've lost against the computer too. Couple years ago when I played Arizona. Just couldn't stop them and couldn't do anything on offense. And this was when I had a 95 rated RB and about three WRs in the 90s with a 96 rated QB.

As far as recruiting, didn't you get a few four-stars last year? Being in the ACC, you'll probably always get a decent amount of four or five stars interested in you.

Historically, Washington State had been a doormat in the PAC 12, so it's taken me almost this long to really start attracting four-stars.

We also don't boot anyone from the league for losing. We've only booted one person and that was because he basically ignored the league and didn't respond (either on here or on XBL). We've always said the more users, the better.

I got very frustrated starting off 0-2 with losses to Jake and Rumple mainly because I knew I was better than what I put on the field. Alas, back to .500 with a bit of confidence and hoping to land some recruits. Takes time that's for sure.

Didn't fall too far. I guess I can live with that.

OK, what is the secret to recruiting on this game? I cannot for the life of me get a decent class -- I'm always the last one to sign someone, I've had the worst class the last two seasons. I throw my 500 points at various guys, pull back when it's obvious I'm not in the game and throw them elsewhere. I'm usually in the hunt but I can't get more than a few decent guys, and that's not enough when fucking amreader signs a goddamned constellation's worth of stars before week 7. Did I leave the hookers and thousand-dollar handshakes options on no?

(I might have asked this already because this seems like something I've already whined about).

If I knew I would tell ya. Once a recruit gets below 1,500 points behind the lead school, I drop out.

    Tennessee 27, South Carolina 6

Played pretty conservatively, hence more FGS than TDS.
