It did. I would have liked to have seen what would have happened if I had been able to score on that drive and go into the half up 14-3 ... obviously your second half defense would have still been stifling, but I think I played into your hands a bit by trying to get it back quickly. By the time I realized I had to be more methodical there was no time left to do it. You probably would have still taken the lead at the very least, though. It probably wouldn't have mattered.

Oh, and those two delay of games came because my controller would not let me hike the ball ... weird, but it didn't affect the outcome. I was actually going to ask you to not take the 2nd one, but had to laugh at myself since it made absolutely no difference at that point.

Ha. If you asked me not to, I wouldn't have. I was wondering what was up. On the first one, I thought maybe you didn't like the look but figured you'd have a good chance of getting the yards back and didn't want to waste a timeout.

Re: Getting it back quickly - yeah, that's what lead to the sacks. I was basically thinking "don't let him get anything deep" and that lead to you holding the ball way too long. You didn't get sacked quickly, but you got sacked eventually.

Almost forgot about my fumble deep in your territory. Wright atoned for his earlier INT there.

Re:playing aggressive - Facing 4th-and-goal from the 2 with 3 seconds left in the half. I knew how big being up 2 scores would be. I figured if I kick the FG there, and drive for a TD on my opening drive of the next half, I was up 1 score. If I missed going for it on 4th, and then scored a TD on the opening drive of the next half, I was up 1 score. So very little to lose and a lot to gain.

What the final score hides is how well Jake played D early. He knew my offense pretty well and had me totally frustrated early in the game. I threw an INT on third-and-long on my first drive, and he held me to a FG on my second drive. So he was playing some solid D. I was just (eventually) able to find some plays that worked. But my D was HUGE keeping me in the game while my O sputtered.

After that first INT I thought "Well, this game's over." Glad I was wrong.

Was ... was that the first time you've lost in one of our dynasties?

Sounds like a great game. Worthy of the National Championship game.

Congrats Am. I can now say my team has lost to the national champion two years in a row.

To my recollection, it's the first time Jake has lost in a title game. I think he lost once or twice before in a regular season game, possibly.

Rumple, I'm available any evening this week. Like I said earlier, not much later than 10 p.m. though. Also, possibly some time in the afternoon, although that would be a lot more difficult to nail down a time ahead of time,

    Thanks, Hank.
One more for the NC notebook. After starting the game without my top 2 RBs, my third RB got hurt halfway through the game (maybe on the fumble deep in Jake's territory).
