Ok, we're at coaching carousel.

Rumple is on the clock with Georgia and Arkansas as potential suitors.

Mad is also listed for those two jobs.

I'll look to advance further tomorrow at some point. And sim past this, or let them choose other teams.


Also, it was really weird after I advanced to the end of bowl season. It had all the scores right, but the poll looked it had been unchanged. Maybe the new poll comes after coaching carousel?

So what happens if I want to change teams? Do I have to wait for the carousel to get to me, or are we ignoring the carousel, or what?

 

You should be able to change it at any point. Earlier the better so you can control as much of the offseason as possible.

 

Yea, we've always ignored the coaching carousel in the past.

Last year, Mad joined in the offseason, but for some reason it put him as coach of Georgia State (or something like that). I had to switch it back to Tennessee once we got to the offseason.


I'll wait for yours and rumple's decision on switching teams before we really do anything in the offseason.

I may sim past the carousel though, since we don't use that.

 

Do I have to pick between Arkansas and Georgia? What about a team in the Mountain West? I'd rather go somewhere where we don't have another coach, but I could be persuaded in staying at Penn State if Meat wants to hit the MWC.

 

I think if you want another team besides the two teams offering you gigs, Hank will just manually switch you. I could be wrong.

 

The problem I have is that I don't know who has what for next season. You can't see what teams have coming back, at least where we are now. So if I picked a team, I'd have to pick blindly.

Plus, what sort of rating limit is there?

 

Meat is correct. You can pick whatever team you want. And I'll switch it (like we did with Mad last offseason).

Would you want to stay with Penn State if I can switch the bowl tie-ins (I think we have to get into the offseason before I am able to).

Changing bowl tie ins might even be a preseason task. I'm pretty sure I can do it. I know we've changed conferences, so changing bowl tie ins should be just as easy).

 

Can you switch all the bowl tie ins, or just the BCS-level games?

 

I'm not sure. I think it may be all.

I know I can go into any conference and adjust their rivalries, whether they play day or night games and conference championships. It's a whole list of things that can be altered, so I think bowl tie ins are there as well.
