I was really happy with my defense in this one. Mad got a couple of big plays, but other than that I played well. He also played very well defensively, but I did a good job of taking what was given to me and kind of going away from what had been my biggest strengths in the first five seasons of this dynasty and still scoring pretty consistently.

The national title picture is very interesting right now. Lots of us still in the picture.

Good game, Jake. My plan was to slow the pace down a bit, but once you got up by two scores, I had to readjust. If I hadn't thrown that pick to end the half, might have been different, who knows. But once I threw the other pick in the third I knew it was over. I did well on pass defense, then you would scramble with the QB. I'd have my MLB or SS spy and you'd still get a decent gain. Frustrating to say the least, haha. Certainly not my best game, I'll admit that but not taking anything away from Jake - he did what he had to do to win.
Third downs killed me. Wait, those two fourth downs killed me. Your defense had a lot of swatted balls, good job.
edit: After I run the table in the SEC, hopefully I get a user bowl game. After this game, there will be some frustration let out on those teams. Hopefully.

Yea, I'm not looking forward to my user game against Jake. Especially with my team this year, which can't figure out if it's a passing team or a running team.

And to top it off, I have to play Am either the week before or week after.

Oh well, I'll aim for the PAC 12 title. Even that will be tough. I think I face about 4 ranked teams in a row and then I get to Jake and Am.

Rough, Hank. I feel half of the SEC is in the top 10 these days when I play them. I'm there with you!

Mad, you could play in the national title game if you run the table. Really a whole bunch of teams can make that case. Hank is acting like Lou Holtz in the post above me, but we've always had good battles. If I can get by him I expect to be in the National Title game since I'll be undefeated. And we have a slew of one loss teams: Mad, am, Rumple and Hank in addition to myself all vying for those top 2 spots. It'll be very interesting this year.

Very true. I forget it's my first loss. I shouldn't fall out of the top 10. Maybe slip to No. 8.
Forgot AM and Rumple both have a loss. PLAYOFF! ha.

If you get past me, I'll have two losses.

I lost to Mad in the season opener.

Mad, you shouldn't fall out of the top 10. I was No. 2 when I lost to you and I think I only fell to No. 8.

True, Hank, but if you win out you're very much alive for the national title game.

Heads up: My Gold membership expired -- thought I had until the 24th, but turns out I didn't. Since I don't have any user games the rest of the way, you can remove me from the league for now if it hasn't already done so, and if/when I pick up Gold again, I can join for the next user season.

It won't automatically remove you from the league, just for dropping to Silver membership. EA and Microsoft are two different entities.

I have no inclination to remove you. We'll just keep playing and it will just sim unplayed user games.

Also, just waiting on rumple to advance. (well I have to play too, but I play right before I hit advance).

Something went wrong in my move and I can't open my disc drive. I've tried every trick and it's just stuck. Looks like I might be down for the count.
