Check that. I wrestled it open and played my game.

I have to give a solid 'tap' on the device sometimes if it does that - which seems to be once a day.

Once in awhile, I'll hit open drive on the dashboard and it doesn't open. It then thinks it was opened and then closed and tries to read a disc, which of course there isn't one.

Once it stops trying to read the disc, I'll open the drive and it's fine.

Doesn't do it very often though. At most, once per week.

Anyway, I'll play and advance tonight.

Does that mean I could keep recruiting even if I don't have Gold? Not that I'm a great recruiter, but I'd have to think I'm better than the CPU which keeps sticking 48 FBs and 50 CBs on my watch list.

I think you'd have to do it online through the web site.

You're still a member of the league through EA. You just can't access the online dynasty through the Xbox because Microsoft won't let you online to get at it.

Yeah, that's what I meant. If I can still access the dynasty online, I can recruit and make depth chart changes. If I do get Gold again, I could keep my team relatively intact, though I suspect I'll fall to being a 6-6 team with the CPU playing the games.

Damn Hank, you're back right in the top five after I beat you in week 1! Maybe there is hope Tennessee will crawl back up there pending what happens with everyone else.

I think beating the ranked teams (USC, Arizona) in the PAC 12 the last couple weeks helped there.

I still have two tough user games coming up in a few weeks. But my passing offense seems to have found itself a little bit.

Haven't put up a lot of yards on the ground the last couple weeks, but I kind of went to a committee approach. All averaging around 4-4.5. none over 100 though.

Seems like all I have are bye weeks.

Yeah those ranked games come in handy! Luckily for me, seems like half of the SEC is in the top 25 if not 10. I'll most likely play this evening.

I think I need a new disc or my xbox is about to pass away. Tried playing twice now and my box just freezes during the games. I may borrow my friend's and swap over hard drives and try to nail down the problem. Sigh. It's lasted almost seven years.
