Dan Mullen was on the radio today and since he's the coach, the host figured he would know what is and isn't true. Mullen wouldn't talk about it. What a chickenshit coward.

Interesting article on Newnan City Council's deliberations on whether to condemn Rev Newton's church.

Nice story until Clay Travis jumps on the "Pay the PLAYERS!!!!!!!!" soapbox. Yes, Travis, they put themselves on the line "for free." Nope, no compensation for college athletes, no sirree. They're just like everyone else, struggling and wondering how they'll pay back those dastardly college loans.

Also: he makes the comparison between athletes who are forced to go to college, and someone like Taylor Swift, who is allowed to go pro early. Hey, it would be very interesting to see 18-year-olds go into the NFL. Then by 20, they'll be back home, physically broken and wondering what the hell happened.

Is it true that Vegas took the Auburn-Georgia game off the board over concerns about Newton's eligibility?

If that is the case, and as best as I can recall, it would be the first time Vegas has done such a thing.

The UNC-LSU game went off the board in a lot of sports books at the start of this season.

Shocking that he would write something like this. Totally shocking.

Clay Travis lost me when he asked Tebow about his virginity.

Clay was dared to do so by the boobs at JOX. In case nobody was aware.

Question about Cameron -- why did the Newton's single out MSU? Why did they only ask for payment from that particular institution?

He was eligible when he won the award. To go back and retroactively strip him of it is nothing more than grandstanding on the part of the Heisman Trust.

And if integrity is important and its now possible to retroactively strip winners of their awards then Billy Cannon and O.J. Simpson should be stripped of their Heismans and all privileges associated with being a former winner immediately.

And so should Gino Torretta purely on the grounds that he never should won the fucking thing in the first place...
