Pat Forde pointed out that the final score in "Hoosiers" was 42-40. We're on movie pace right now.

If I recall my history, Milan held the ball at the top of the key for like six straight minutes and Muncie wouldn't get out of its zone.

Will we see the picket fence for the last play?

Sadly, of WSU's 34 points, one guy (Kirk Gebert) had 21. None of his teammates could muster more than four points. Also... Attendance: 7,219.

Plump held the ball for 4:30 or so, then bricked one. Milan got the rebound, Plump held it for another 1 minute + and then hit the game winner.

Matter of fact, Milan's "cat-and-mouse" offense developed by coach Marvin Wood was the direct predecessor of Dean Smith's four-corners. The Muncie Central game was the first time Milan used it for an entire game.

Milan was actually behind by two when Plump held the ball (that kind of stalling was the reason for the 5-second closely-guarded count that would speed up the game). Plump missed, Milan's press forced a turnover, and I believe Ray Craft scored to tie the game. Another miss, and then Milan held the ball, called timeout and called the Jimmy Chitwood play (which was run in the movie just like it happened).

Since the criteria is a 40,000 seat stadium, probably not.

Connecticut starting to take some control here. Even though it's a three-point spread, Butler taking too many 3s -- and they're not going in.

When the people calling the game are saying how shitty it is, you've got problems.
