Bill Walton sounded more depressing than Evel Knievel: "I'm just sad for basketball."

I'm all for correcting the myriad errors that appear here, but in this case, it would have been good to let him keep going on that roll for a while, and then burst his bubble.

    I had C as well.

    3 2-point baskets.

Helen Keller could make 3 2-point baskets.

One of the two shooters is Zach Hahn, who is gone. Vanzant is gone. Their best player, Howard, is gone. And don't be surprised if Mack leaves as well.

    And Smith?

    Baa haaaaha hahaha

He's a big white stiff, which probably means Brian Griffin voted for him as AP player of the year, though maybe not since he is 6-foot-11 and actually attempts to play like a big guy as opposed to standing 25-feet from the hoop and shooting 3's.......

John Feinstein with a great column about it.

For the most part, I think Feinstein is a baffoon, but that was a good column. Nice byline, too. Ugh. Yes, John. We know you love golf more than anyone else on Earth and that you "cover" the Masters every year.

. . . but at least we were spared any view of this year's especially-moronic Tarheel edition on the final weekend . . . or ferret-face, who knows very well exactly who Worldwide Wes is, and what he's about, eh, John?

Why do you think Feinstein is a baffoon?

Great column. Feinstein nails it. Clearly we are not in the hayday basketball. Thx for linking.

The only disagreement I had with the column is his contending that no one plays defense. Butler and UConn did play defense (not good enough to completely cause that dismal shooting, but solid nonetheless).

Of course, neither Butler nor UConn had one-and-dones, either.

Interesting. Still a small sample size with other variables possibly accounting for some of the difference. But interesting.

Villanova had its 70-percent game at Rupp Arena, BTW.
