I wanted to pick St. Peters so badly. Couldn't pull the trigger.

Right now, Pepsi Arena has to be the whitest place this side of a David Allan Coe concert.

Jimmer's brother T.J. is riding his brother's bandwagon for all its worth.
He's trying to escape the mean streets of Glens Falls, NY
He even rapped at halftime of BYU's game in Glens Falls against Vermont this year.
He's also got himself mentioned in every story I've read about Jimmer as well. It's only slightly pathetic.

It's a little odd seeing Noah Dahlman as the Dahlman who had, by far, the better college career. In high school, he teamed with his brother Isaiah to win three straight state titles but Isaiah was the driving force. One of the best players in Minnesota history, the all-time leading scorer at one point. But he went to Michigan State and scored about 3 more points than I did over his four years there. If he would have gone to a smaller D1 I think he would have been really good.

They have a younger sister who will probably become the all-time leading scorer in Minnesota girls basketball history by next season. And if Verne and Raf haven't mentioned it, there grandpa is John Kundla, who always went to their high school games.

Just curious: The BYU kid drew a technical, pretty obviously for something he said.

I can only assume that per Honor Code standards, he's gone, right?

(Or are some sections of the Honor Code more important than others?)

    Or not.

Louisville has no one to blame but themselves. They were up eight or nine with about 5 minutes to go, and didn't hit enough shots or free throws -- or limit turnovers -- to keep the lead.

Isiah Dahlman came to Michigan State and did not have e-mail or know what it was. That was in the summer of 2006. Swear to god. I had to help him schedule classes as part of the academic orientation team and he didn't have an e-mail address. So I had to help him create one using Yahoo.

I definitely believe that about Dahlman. They grew up on a farm, very religious, no TV, no Internet. All the kids have Old Testament names. Great basketball family, though. I think there are siblings younger than the star girl who are supposed to be really good as well.

As much as I hate to admit it as a lifelong Cardinals fan, he was there in time and made a good, defensive play. Marra actually initiated the contact.

Good for alma mater to move on, but hate it for the team I've rooted for nearly 40 years. Tough loss, made worse by the insufferable UK assholes and their narrow win.

I'm sitting in a restaurant where the lone piece of memorabilia is hung directly underneath a neon sign reading "Outhouse" No word if they moved it there Tuesday night.

Derrick Nix and this center from UCLA are like a pair of hungry hungry hippos.

The sound system is so ridiculously poor at the Glens Falls CC that you couldn't understand a word he said during the rap at halftime. Not that you'd want to. And not that the crowd cared. Strange to see all the blue BYU gear around that town, but that's the power of Jimmer.

Saint Peter's could be a bitch for Purdue. Peacocks play defense. Jeron Belin and Ryan Bacon won't let JJ have a free ride on the perimeter.
