I'm glad George Mason won. I like the coach.

Per Stewart Mandel, Michigan is the first team to win an NCAA tournament game without making a free throw.

I'll say this - a helluva lot more people were interested in what Obama said about Iraq than what his picks were for the women's tournament.....

I mean, there is no bigger farce than the women's tournament.

The best teams almost never lose until the final four when they play each other and is there any doubt Uconn, stanford, tennessee and baylor will roll through to the final four?

As for my impressions of the tournament so far:

I said before it that Villanova did not belong and nothing we saw today changed that.

    Tennessee quit. Period.

Texas is the same ultra-talented, horribly coached, undisciplined team that they always are under Rick Barnes and it won't shock me if their next game is their last.

I'm not sure if anyone is particularly great or even very good.

The NCAA Tournament committee did its annual best to try and fuck John Calipari. Princeton was not a No. 13 seed - they should have been at worst a 12 -- and Huggins has his number.

It is NOT a good thing when we start to see little difference between majors and mid-majors.

Tomorrow's Pitt-Butler game may set basketball back even further than Butler-Michigan State did last year in the Final Four.

BU only down 4 at half. Way to be!

Yep, Michigan won by THIRTY without the aid of a single free throw. That's something I'm certain I've never seen before.

Of course, the reason Michigan got no free throws is because it requires some actual effort to foul someone, Tennessee did not even try to contest most of their drives. Just a shameful performance by the Vols.

BU did all right for itself, all things considered. They just got tired enough to start missing shots, and the rout commenced.

I was pretty impressed by BU, they had some good players. Not a lot of excitement in evening session so far though. The late games could be more competitive.

Is losing by 19 a rout? Vegas probably doesn't think so.

In the books it was a Terriers victory. I saw 22.5
