Georgetown got the margin from 25 down to 13 with 4 minutes still left. VCU was missing free throws and Georgetown was making threes. But it dried up quickly after the last media timeout.

The white guy on Georgetown has got to be the worst player in the tournament.

Following his Twitter feed, and it doesn't appear that he's going to make any mea culpas on VCU. He's not pointing out about the Big East and how the weaker teams in the BE looked bad in this tournament.

Shaka Smart is 33 and he's a good coach.

No kidding, Poin. I don't think I have ever seen a white kid on the floor for Georgetown in my 35 years on this planet.

I'd say the nine or ten guys wearing Tennessee uniforms who played today have locked that award up.

    Georgetown's last 4 post-season games:

    2011: upset by VCU
    2010: upset by Ohio
2009: upset by Baylor (in the frickin NIT)
    2008; upset by Davidson

Think Mr. Thompson might be feeling some heat next season?

Clearly, he got the spot because of affirmative action.

This guy could not even pass to a teammate.

GT lost 4 in a row coming in, and Nova five in a row....pretty easy two team parlay today.

From the AP gamer: "As the game wound down, the raucous VCU fans chanted "Jay Bilas," the ESPN analyst who said the Rams didn't belong in the 68-team field."

Those two weren't just upsets. They were solid drillings.

Gave this some thought today: When does the committee give serious thought to reviewing how it does the seeding? If there is a 5-12 upset every year, then something might be wrong.

Teams from the same conference have to be spread out; that's clear. But a 5 seed should be at worst the 20th best team. The 12 seed is more complicated with more play-in games, but the top 12 seed is at best the 45th best team.

The 12 spot is the new pair of play-in game winners spots now.
