IIRC, it would be out in soccer. It's the complete ball out past the extended verticle line.

The replay guy for CBS needs to start working high school games.

When was the last time the state of North Carolina did not host any tournament games?

Milwaukee swept Butler in the regular season ... Butler began its run after Milwaukee won at Hinkle in OT.

I think you're right. I think Texas got perhaps the slightest benefit on the call (again, as I remember it).

Since when has the NCAA not been about what will provide the greatest financial return, at least with its revenue sports?

North Carolina gets NCAA tourney games every year because games there draw much better than they do in Iowa, Alabama, etc. Or is the NCAA supposed to lose money by playing games in half-empty arenas just so it's "fair?"

Business is business. And the NCAA is a business, as much as it wants us to think otherwise. It is what it is.

Forgive me, I lost one of my Final Four teams in my bracket last nite and I'm just a little keyed up.

Geographic preference has existed, probably much more than 10 years, but it doesn't apply only to the "top seeds".

I'm getting very frustrated that Duke gets the And 1 after every shot. Michigan, not so much.

I didn't say put them in Alabama. Put them in NYC, Chicago, LA, Detroit...

Jay Bilas: "Takes himself and his opinion far too seriously. I know he works hard and knows the game as a former player, but he goes over the top when he tries to demonstrate a play or gets too technical. He uses basketball terminology like hedging, showing and sealing and never lets the audience know what he’s talking about. He rarely gives credit to the mid-major teams, and when one of them makes the NCAA Tournament as an at-large entrant he throws a fit. . . . He works the Maui Classic every year with Raftery and Sean McDonough and tries to dominate the telecast with his academic ‘know it all’ approach to basketball. . . .Bilas rarely takes a stance on coaching scandals and other controversial topics that Gottlieb will grab by the throat. He needs to lighten up and let the game flow once in awhile. . . .I wonder if he’s given any thought to becoming a professor."

Nah, Bilas is already a lawyer, Tom.
