It was a great shot and probably the one they should have taken ... but I'd have loved for him to have kicked it out for an advance-or-die 3.

He's the next Luke Jackson, another Oregon kid. Very good college player, tweener/wash out as a pro.

Singler did elect to return for his senior year. But it was decided for him, as he didn't really turn anyone on in the NBA.

And I can't take credit for this one, but it's great:

"Had Washington won today, Venoy (Turn)Overton would have been in three sweet-16s this month."

Gave me the happiez. Morris had Hardaway wide open underneath the net if he jump stopped. Sucks.

Indeed he does. Bilas is very smart and knowledgeable, but he's getting a bit of Billy Packer disease, the same pompous air of certainty that he knows better than everyone else, the same snobbish disdain for mid-major programs. I'm glad VCU stuck it to him in this tourney.

Kellogg verbally blowing Rose earlier left me to lurch for the airline-sickness bag.

Not sure when that happened. I thought Kellogg stepped up and criticized Rose's moronic comment.

He followed that up with some choice "role model, now" comments. Mindbending.

    No losers there in Charlotte.

Michigan did I think about as well as it could have, given a major disadvantage in size, crowd, and Duke getting a majority of the calls. I thought they were just going to get manhandled out there and they managed to find a niche.

I picked Duke to win the national title, so my relatively mediocre bracket is still relatively intact, and they get a good test.

John Beilein is a terrific coach, and he did a fantastic job with this Michigan team. Duke was lucky and clearly had more size.

The crowd wasn't an issue. Smurf Village was pulling for Michigan so hard it almost gave itself a hernia.

So you're saying that a lot of UNC fans stuck around to cheer against Duke?
