NCAA tourney second round thread

I've been gone all weekend. Is Fen OK, or is he taking Alma Mammy's loss hard?

I think if UNC and Louisville both get through the next round and play each other that that will be an all-time game. Both teams have been playing their best basketball the past few weeks. Having said, they will now probably both lose in the next round.

 

I will begin believing in God, at least temporarily, if they both lose their next game.

Fucking Stansbury. Why did you let 40 seconds run off the clock when you were down six points with less than 1:30 left against the worst free-throw shooting team in the history of basketball?

Oh, that's right, because you're a moron. I can't believe I forgot that again when picking State in the upset.

Other thoughts...

- It's hilarious that America's sweetheart next weekend (Davidson) is universally loathed like Duke in the mid-major world. But it's hard to dislike anything about Curry.

- Charlotte could have some great games. Louisville can look so awesome and so shitty, as can Tennessee. Can't believe they put UL and UT in the East while giving UCLA that collection of stiffs in the West (and the Bruins still almost gagged).

- Since I haven't added my opinion yet, lump me in with those upset at the no-call to end the UCLA-A&M game. Have to call a foul, no matter the situation, when there's that much contact.

- Great effort by Arkansas today. At least those guys can go toke it up all offseason now. I'm sure they can't wait.

 

Davidson pulled off quite a feat. G-town shot 63 percent, hit 10 threes, had more rebounds and lost. How is that possible? The Hoyas had 20 turnovers -- 10 on offensive fouls. Good luck to the fighting Cinderellas. The NCAA has its storyline.

 

Speaking of Davidson and Duke, Davidson always plays Duke much closer than the final score shows. I hated that game every year when I actually watched Duke.

Glad to see Davidson having some success.

 

CBS got that right at the end of the game. Right after the dunk it had the score 53-49, but changed it to 51-49 a few seconds later.
