Not Harvard stomps Yale 29-29? :D

I'll try my best to let the fanboyism come from only their side this week.

Well, I say let Harvard have its football and academics. Yale will always be first in gentlemanly club life.

I'd like to congratulate my good friend Oz in advance on his beloved team's robust second-place finish in the Big 12 North. Much love for your team and best wishes for a Fiesta Bowl rout over Hawaii.

anyone else notice that someone gave Northern Iowa a vote in this week's AP Top 25?

Probably as deserving as Michigan getting any points last week.

Anyone voting for the Wolverines last week should have been ashamed. There is no way in hell that was a top 25 team, even this year.

Ray Ratto of the San Francisco Chronicle, I believe.

    -------------

Interesting motion around the top 15 in the AP poll:

Oregon travels to an unranked conference opponent, loses its starting quarterback, loses the game and falls from second to ninth.

Oklahoma travels to an unranked conference opponent, loses its starting quarterback, loses the game and falls from third to 10th.

Hawaii travels to an unranked conference opponent, didn't even play its starting quarterback, won the game ... and fell from 13th to 14th.

In all fanboy fairness, IMHO, whoever wins the Missou-Kansas game should be the No. 1 team in the nation next Sunday.

Think about it: LSU beats unranked Arkansas ...

    And
No. 3 Mizzou defeats the No. 2 team in the nation
    or
No. 2 Kansas beats the No. 3 team in the nation.

Or you could look at LSU's schedule and make the winner of that game No. 2.

That said, I'm excited to record that game and watch it after I file Saturday.

Absolutely. They're a Sun Belt member, and they have a lot better chance of playing for the national title than Northern Iowa.
