It really is. They were dominant to very good during the Mack Brown years and won a national championship in recent memory. Texas is right up there with Michigan on the list of great programs riding their past for present relevancy -- hard to believe neither of them won a conference championship this decade -- but they're not exactly Iowa State.

Dang, wish I had known that. Just by following online, it looked like Illinois was either missing someone or playing like a team that already had a couple big pelts on its wall and wasn't too interested in a small one.

I know. I ran into that tweet and it just had to go up, that's all.

And the "Michigan really wasn't as good as advertised" narrative can begin in 3, 2, 1 ...

I mean, Harbaugh feasts on the ok to slightly good teams to run up Michigan's record but the exceptional teams -- especially Ohio State -- he just can't beat to save his life. That's not to say Michigan isn't a good team but I side-eye any analyst who predicted this game was going to be competitive.

Never saw anyone untie the opposing player’s shoe and take it off until today
I’m sure it was worth the 15 yards

Penn State -39 at home vs. Rutgers...

Seems like an easy take but...

I think Ohio St. was something like 31 of 32 on third down conversions. Seemed like it anyway. I'm not sure coaching is the issue as much as athletes.

Rutgers has been frustrating this season, from a betting perspective. They look bad enough every week that you can't trust them to cover any line if you take the points, but also seem to do just enough that you feel uneasy laying points. If they score 17 here, they probably cover like they did last week against Ohio State. But the odds are 40-60 that they'll score that many.
It's a damn shame. They were a great play last season, but this year their lines and games have been all over the place. I stayed far away from this one.

Saw enough mistakes from Michigan today - the touchback, the hitting the QB out of bounds - won't be surprised if we start hearing about players "tuning out" Harbaugh in the coming weeks. And is it just the massive size of the stadium that makes the crowd seem quiet and the players seem kind of slow?

Illinois was dreadful. However the Lovie train got me four straight covers so no complaining.
