No, he's alive, and not very good.

I saw Iowa's starter last year when he made his one start, he was very poised and ran the offense well. That's not the same guy I saw last year. He's gotten worse by the game.

I forget the backup's name, but, yeah, supposedly he's worse than this guy. At a certain point, that begins to defy reality, but, evidently, Ferentz isn't at that point yet.

The O-line is no prize, either, but even when they give him time, he sails the ball 20 feet over the nearest receiver's head.

And don't sleep on the Bison. They can flat-out play.

Fixed (unless Hall kicked the two PATs).

    :p

Ferentz is very loyal to his players. Sometimes, as in this case, that's not a good thing.

Iowa's backup QBs are Arvell Nelson and Ricky Stanzi. Redshirt freshmen who have seen very little time on the field.

    They couldn't be much worse.

Sooners, tied 7-7 with Iowa State, fumble the ball away to the Cyclones at midfield.

Fighting Dave Wlatstedt's giving Cincinnati a game, 17-13 going into the fourth.

  9. If you're right about Christensen -- I didn't see the Hawkeyes last year -- then somebody isn't coaching the QB's very well.

And Christensen throws an awful pick.

The offensive coaching staff is taking a lot of heat for this season. I would imagine there will be offseason changes.

It hasn't helped that Christensen has been losing receivers left and right (including the top returning receiver, who allegedly thought it would be fun to take somebody's credit card and run up some big bills). But he has absolutely no confidence back there.
