Yep, though I still wish the booth would have looked at the favorable spot on that third-down run when the refs awarded a first down on that final drive. Maybe with that extra play, LSU doesn't have time to take a shot deep and misses a field goal.

Les Miles is coaching like how some play NCAA Football on PlayStation. And at some point, you would think it's going to catch up with him. Maybe at Tuscaloosa?

Cox, not luck, or Tubbs for that matter, is why they're at 3 losses. I was surprised they scored as much as they did against LSU, that offense was anemic earlier in the season.

Miles would have a lot more wins if he coached like I play PlayStation, damnit :)

I watched the LSU touchdown again and again. The ball hits the WR in the hands in the end zone at 0:04. He lands on his butt on the turf at 0:03, and the clock runs until 0:01.

Had the ball bounced off his hands at 0:04, I'm pretty sure there would have been enough time left for a field goal attempt (but not with a long juggling act).

Still, Les Miles is one crazy meauxfeaux.

He had a great night..... if only the ESPN announcers hadn't kept referring to him, over and over, as a "true freshman."
He almost signed with a team I used to cover 2 years ago, so that rang funny with me.
In the fourth quarter, I ran to my office and dug out my Virginia media guide.
Sure enough, the kid is a redshirt sophomore.
Nice work, ESPN. Is it really that hard to take a look and figure out a fact like that?

Media guides still contain that sort of information? ;D

I really respect Vanderbilt. That's so tough a situation to play in. I hope they get to a bowl, but that final stretch isn't helpful. Tennessee and Wake offer the best hope for them.

Oh, I wouldn't want to be Tommy Tubberville today.

What's wrong with giving the ball to the other team at the 40 and a minute or so left when a field goal beats you? Huh?

He might be the only person on the planet that thought that was a good idea.

USC No. 8 AP, No. 9 ESPN.

Yes, ND sticks to high heaven. But teams with USC's pedigree move up faster after winning and don't drop as far after losing as the Kentuckys and South Floridas of the CF world.

West Virginia is favored by 25, and wins by 25. Ohio State is crusing 24-0 on the way to covering the 18.5 and then Sparty U. scores twice on defensive TDs, and ruins the spread for those who took Brutus U. Lo and behold, Syracuse covers v. Buffalo. But I'm screwed with WVA and Ohio State. WVA scores 28 in the first 12 minutes yesterday and only 10 more the rest of the game, against utter crap for a foe. How does that happen?

Even when you make the "right" picks, as my parlay was, unexplainable shit ruins them.
