The more I watch college ball this season, there is a handful of teams that can win a national championship and that's it. Many teams that are good but not great.

    FCS comment/question:
Old Dominion has been surprisingly good this year. Granted I don't pay attention as much as I used to, but they just beat a top-10 James Madison squad to go to 7-2.
Did anyone expect ODU to be this good this quickly?

    It's Minnesota Golden Gopher Football.

It's never over til it's over.

I'm sure you loved it after the game when the sideline announcer asked Chip Kelly about the play of DeAngelo. Chip responded that was a good place to eat back east, but DeAnthony had a great game. Hilarious.

Now it is. MarQueis Gray owns the Hawkeyes again.

And I love Kirk, but you have a 250-yard rusher, get the ball with 2:40 left in the game, and you pass four straight times.

    Anger.

Illinois has about a minute to kick a field goal and tie Penn State. Both offenses look pathetic.

I couldn't understand what they were doing there. They had the time.

Cougs put up a good fight before falling 43-28. After WAZZU scored in the third, UO returned the KO for a TD, helped by a block in the back not called. The Cougs seemed gassed after that.
Red zone mistakes again, just like three weeks ago. Lobster threw a pick into quadruple coverage in the first half while driving and the Cougs missed an easy FG. Heads would have exploded in Autzen if the Ducks trailed at halftime and that very nearly happened.

I'm guessing that, yes, Oklahoma was indeed pissed.

Apparently the Gophers were really motivated to win Floyd of Rosedale.

Illinois hits the upright as time runs off, loses 10-7 to Penn State [laughs]. Zook is about to get Zooked...
