A little overwritten, IMO, but an interesting editorial in today's Lincoln paper:

The lack of space on campus is a problem, since the basketball arena was built where Pitt Stadium used to be.

But moving the football games off campus was definitely a negative. Cheap tickets and a stadium within walking distance definitely helped keep butts in the student section seats in the past. Heinz Field isn't ridiculously far, but the location is definitely hurting attendance.

not to mention the pile of crap lies that were fed to the fanbase about the miles and miles of parking that would be available to fans. Yeah, for the first three years. From the moment those stadiums were finished they started carving those parking lots up to build office buildings and retail shops. WHen I went home for the Eastern Michigan game I had to park in a parking garage....JUST LIKE AT PITT STADIUM.

If Pitt were smart they'd start putting wheels in motion to open an on-campus stadium to celebrate its 250th anniversary in 2037. It gives that administration 30 years to set a plan, fuck it up, correct it, fuck it up again and then get it right for the final push of actually building the sonofabitch.

    Will this end well?

    It's a serious question.

He'll be interim AD until "the department is on stable ground again" which implies, until the coaches are gone and Nebraska returns to its previous state.

I'd love to see Osborne take over the sidelines again. In college coaching, 70 is the new 50.

Osborne to Callahan: "The 'N' on the helmet now stands for 'No more passing.'"

Without the zillion steroid cases? Without Lawrence Phillips? As bankrupt as Dr. Tom's
    politics.
