To expand on my earlier post -- My tank holds 15.6 gallons. At 10 cents a gallon, I'd be saving $1.56. If I have to wait 15 minutes to get to a pump, most times that's not worth it. Since I try to minimize my trips to town, stopping for gas is usually in combination with several other things I'm doing, and the waiting becomes the overriding factor. It's a metro mentality, sure. People in large metro areas are forced to wait for just about everything, and wait-avoidance is a never-ending pursuit. My time is worth more than that $1.56, and usually the difference between stations is not that much. If there's no wait, then I go to the cheaper station.
