"Loyalty" used by suits is code for "can be controlled."

I heard Patrick mention this on his radio show earlier this week that Keith was someone who can grow tire of doing something and want to move on to do different stuff. Yes, he's smart, hard to deal with, and great at what he does.

I know there is no such thing as loyalty in the workplace today, but shit, you have to follow the rules most of the time, even if you're a superstar like Olbermann. Keith's problem is that he can't keep stuff behind closed doors and expect people to side with him all of the time.

Yeah. I don't think it's a coincidence that he's bounced around from place to place to place. Hard for me to lay the problem at ESPN's doorstep for failing to manage him properly when NBC, MSNBC and FOX also struggled with it.

ESPN should try a throwback month to the old sets and attitude of the Bob Ley Tom Mees Ed Randall era. Just for the hell of it.

Surprised how many people they got to go on the record with some of the gossipy bullshit. They must be doing something right in Bristol if there is a market for a book on what they are doing wrong.
