Did anyone cheat?

 

The games just went final. Looks like Tampico Stogies and Sterling Silver in the finals.

Edit: Lovely. I begin the week by losing my hottest hitter to a fractured thumb because Belt tried to bunt against the shift in Coors Field. Maybe with seven hits in 13 at-bats, three of them home runs, he didn't need to do that to beat the damn shift!

 

It looks like the finals are going to go to the last day. Sterling Silver needed something huge to get close in most of the offensive categories. The got three home runs and seven RBI from Brandon Lowe today.

I do wonder how many players on contenders will sit tonight and tomorrow, which makes me think we should see if we can move the start of the playoffs up a week next year and include the final week of the MLB regular season in our playoffs. I've done that in other leagues, but I'm not sure we can do it with Yahoo.

 

Third place battle going to the final day as well.

Since we stream so much an it’s a small keeper list, I’m ok playing til the last day.

Does Yahoo count any games 163 (and potentially 164 in the AL) as regular season games?

 

I don't know, but I think our season ends tomorrow no matter what.

 

Assuming I'm right that any games tomorrow wouldn't count toward the finals, the last day's contests start in a couple of hours and the championship is far closer than the score would indicate. We are tied in RBI and wins and all but a couple of categories are in play. Seriously, curse you Brandon Lowe.

 

Tomorrow’s potential games may be counted in roto leagues but not in head-to-head.

 

That's how I thought it would go.

There was a flurry of moves and now the games are starting. Best of luck to those still playing. Just not more luck than me.

Edit: And he got a three-run home run on his team's first at-bat of the final day. Oy.

Just a reminder that at some point we may not be able to see our rosters for a brief period when Yahoo switches over from 2021 to 2022. Hopefully, everybody is returning.
