I see somebody's going to be milking that title for a while.

I tentatively set the keeper deadline and draft date on the site. The keeper deadline is just a placeholder. I will ask everyone to email lists to me or post them here by the deadline and I will input them into the draft order manually just as I did the last couple of years. Nothing is official yet, but if everybody else can make the March 23 draft date work, keepers would be due 8:15 p.m. EST March 9.

Can you please post the round list for the keepers, either here or on the league site?

I'm not sure what you mean. Are you asking what round each player on your roster would cost to keep? For that, go to the league site. Look for the menus across the top of the site. Select the drop-down menu labeled Draft. Select Last Season. Then just scroll to your team. You will see the round every player on your team was drafted in 2022. They will cost you a pick two rounds earlier in the 2023 draft if you wish to keep them. For example, you had Gleyber Torres for an 8th-round pick in 2022, so he would cost you your sixth-round pick in 2023.

There were A LOT of October roster moves done by two particular teams. Was that ever addressed?

Honestly, I don't remember. Was it something about teams not in the playoffs picking up players, thus keeping them from teams that are still alive? What is your concern and how do you think we should address it?

I don't think we can even access transactions from last season now that the league has switched over to 2023.

I'm wondering if it was done to skirt the keeper rules (not having to use high draft picks). Otherwise, why bother?

I haven't looked at the players that were picked up, but if they're young f'ing studs, those moves should be negated and those players made free agents.

That sort of thing is why we changed the rules to make the cost of undrafted players a 20th-round pick instead of 26th round. Any player who was drafted retains the cost of the round in which they were taken regardless of whether or not they were cut during the season. So if I cut a guy who I took in the sixth round but another owner picked him up later, that player would still cost a fourth-round pick to keep this year.

That said, I don't seem to have access to last season's transactions, so I can't even see who those players might have been. It is certainly something I can keep an eye on this season and we can discuss some sort of rule change to address it. As things stand now, those owners did not violate any rules.

Pern was pointing it out on the league chat board as it was happening last October. Oh well.

I know I was doing a lot of streaming in the playoffs, but as I recall, the guys I was cutting and signing weren’t really keeper worthy.

I do have some young studs that I’m planning to keep, but I got them during the regular season.

I vaguely remember something about it. Best I can do right now is be open to a rule change suggestion.

No recollection. Was I involved? I actually don't see how you can game the system. Doesn't it make sense to try to find potential keepers at any point in the season? Not so simple, but if you can - more power to you.

Two details I think I know the answer to, but checking:
1- If we're keeping the round 22 player, then an undrafted player goes to 19?
2- If we have 3 undrafted keepers, do we get to assign the 20-19-18 rounds for the carry over to next season?
