Still doing six keepers and when we keep a guy, they move up three rounds?

The playoffs begin today! Congrats to Guy for finishing first during the regular season. I missed beating him out by one RBI because I'm a slacker, and I didn't see Burger wasn't playing yesterday. I could have used Caminero and got the RBI.

This is a good way of reminding people that regular-season standings are the tiebreaker in the playoffs, so if I meet Guy in the finals, he has the edge.

Thanks for the reminder on the tiebreaker. I was meaning to ask about it.

I had a weird regular season. I started out ridiculously hot (something like 30-8), then went in a bad slump, and was up and down for the rest of the year.

No problem. I figured it was a good way to turn my venting into something productive. I am happy to get one of the byes, but when I went to bed last night, the site showed me winning last week's game, 8-2. There must have been an adjustment in RBI because now it shows the score as 7-2. That's how close things were. One win turning into a tie was the difference between first and second place.

Stinks for me, but congrats @baron for taking me out and entering the Cinderella finals as the home team. Good luck to both of you.

    Did we ever resolve this?

I like 1 and 3. I prefer regular season record because I stop competing once I'm eliminated. I'll adjust my roster, but not pick up players that could help teams that are still in running for the title.

Heck, I don't even know if we can do that or if pickups lock once a team is out.

Not really, but I maybe the best option is to go with regular-season standings for all but the final four. The two semifinal losers would pick No. 9 and 10, with the team that finished lower of the two in the regular-season getting the higher pick. The runner-up picks No. 11 and the champion No. 12. That way nothing is based on the result of consolation games.

Then again, maybe it would be more fun to have the winner of the third-place game get the higher pick. That would give us something to play for this week.

    Thoughts?

I'm not sure if I can re-open trading in the offseason, either. If I can, would we want that?

I’d be fine with going with the reverse order of standings for the top 10, and the final two picks hinge upon who wins and loses the championship round.

I’m iffy on the third place game counting towards the draft order. If I had lost yesterday, I don’t know if I would have been in the mood to keep playing for a better draft pick. But that’s just me.
