I'll continue to stand on my long-held contention that if She gets it, it's Hil/Clark.

I know 30 or so people with Facebook pages. Two or three of them will vote. Maybe.

I can make an argument that abortion is allowed under the constitution.
    1) Since different religions have different definitions on when life begins and when a fetus is a separate life and not part of the mother, under the first amendment the government can't favor one religion's views over another, so abortion has to be allowed.
    2) Nowhere in the constitution does it say that an unborn citizen has rights
    3) Abortion is a privacy issue between a woman and her doctor (which differs from Roe v. Wade which holds that a woman has a right to privacy on what she does with her own body)

I am personally pro-choice. If restrictions on abortion are going to be imposed - be they late term (aka "partial birth") or at any point, there have to be conditions that guarantee that it can be performed if the life of the mother is in danger, that's a decision only the doctor can make, not a lawmaker.

yes - if you want to have a serious discusion then you must understand the process. Once I took the time to learn about partial birth abortions I realized they are not a big deal . Don't see the need for all the fuss. It must be terrably hard on the physicians though -- specially if they have young kids.

I guess what I should've said, more plainly, is that using a Facebook poll to gauge this sort of thing is like using a newspaper's online poll to gauge something.

Shitty idea. And I'm glad you have more politically active friends than I do. And that you don't post abortion graphics on the board. Hell, there's a lot of reasons I like you, Zeke.

Hey, I have a facebook page! Mostly as a joke, but still.

But I understand what you're saying.

And i think the republicans are kind of counting on it - but if they're wrong, they're in even bigger trouble than they already think they are.

Let's not turn this thread into an abortion debate and keep it focused on the qualifications of the candidates.

Agree but in some states where a canidate stands on abortion is an important factor in voters decision.

True. However that applies more to the general election than the primaries. All the Democrats are pro-choice. All the Republicans, save for Rudi are anti-abortion.
