    Holy shit.

CNN/WMUR poll has Obama moving from a 33-all tie yesterday to a 39-29 lead over Clinton today.

  2. I have to say, from over on this side of the ocean, the interest in Iowa and now New Hampshire has been nothing short of amazing. Though most of the networks here are looking at it from the angle of how threatened is HRC by Barack, while there is almost a chortle of glee at seeing how Romney has fallen so far.

Me, personally? I'll cast my vote for Richardson, not because I am disillusioned with the other candidates, but because he was my pick when he threw his hat into the ring. I know he doesn't stand a chance of winning, but regardless of whether a Democrat or a Republican wins in November, I do think it'd be a smart move to get him involved, even if only as a roving ambassador or point man on troubled nations.

I was thinking that Romney and Rudy both would have had a better chance running as Democrats. There's no way the Republican party was ever going to get behind either one of those guys.

In the Democratic primaries, Rudy could slug it out with Hillary like he wants to, anyway.

And Romney's record in Mass. fits better with the Democrats, and he also might have been able to jump in on the change bandwagon.

And if he's the smartest guy in the room, how come he keeps defending Bush? The people that like Bush are never going to accept him. And the people who detest Bush think he's an idiot for it.

It has been fascinating listening to the BBC World Service on the way home from work.

Which one is the one where Mark Penn is currently crying into his beer?

Because that's where I want to be...

  8. Are you kidding?
He's still in Des Moines, panhandling for bus fare back to DC.

Now this is the kind of 'Team Coverage' most of SportsJournalists.com could really get into...

You have every right, and I respect that.

But I remain on the only side I can countenance . . . the side of freedom of choice.

  12. I'll say one thing for the Obama campaign.
It sure as hell learned to gloat in one damn hurry.
