She's got too much ego to drop out this early.

I think there are 2 basic reasons for the Hillary collapse:

    1. She comes across too often as abrasive and confrontational.
    2. She and her dumbass handlers refused to take advantage of the fact that she is married to the best goddamn campaigner of my (long) lifetime and, in fact, tried to push Bill to the background because he was taking attention away from her.

But a few things I read today made it seem her money is running out - and fast.

The thing about Bill Clintonn, though, is his magic doesn't seem to work for others, only for himself.

And whether or not it hurts her, she should push him away. If she had run as Bill being a "co-president", her run would have been stillborn.

Which is good. The race should last until a majority of states have participated. Crowning Obama after getting 90,000 votes in Iowa and winning New Hampshire (which has, what, four electoral votes?) is foolish. Why the rush? I want to see a little more of Obama before he's handed the reins to the nation.

I want all primaries on the same day.
What is the status of Michigan losing their delegates to the Dem Convention for moving their date up? Anyone know? I've googled, come up with nothing.

    I think that's a bloody brilliant idea.

My other thing I'd like to see is the general election go to a 24-hour period. The Pacific and Mountain time zones always get shafted and I think participation would go up from them because they still might be inclined to vote even though results start coming in 3 hours before their polls close.

A 24 hour period, with numbers coming in from the outset?

I really hope that's not what you're suggesting.

The hanging chad crowd in Florida could have a mid-period rally.

Toss the exit pollsters and no coverage of results, and yeah, I could go along with your idea.

No, no, no...never said that about results from the outset - I said that the other times zones get ripped off as it is NOW because the results start coming in 3 hours before the pacific zone is done voting. Open the polls at midnight ET, close them at 11:59PM ET. That way, you've had 24 hours to vote and if you didn't, well, it's your fault.
