So a combination of racism and sexism (by women) will propel HRC past Obama?

No. But you're acting like Obama has no hope of carrying the female vote if he's the nominee. You're wrong, and Obama proved you wrong in Iowa.

Or it could be that NH has a history of eschewing what is perceived to be the nominee-in-waiting. As I heard a lot from voters yesterday, they don't like it when people automatically assume an outcome is a foregone conclusion.

So in fact it could have nothing to do with who the candidate is, only that he/she's the front-runner, and is having his/her crown fitted by the media.

Knee-jerk contrarianism. The paste-eating cousin of knee-jerk conformity. Hooray.

How long can a democratic republic endure in a nation such as ours? I guess history will show us soon enough.

Given the huge voter turnout for these primaries, I think we all owe the Shrub a huge apology. All along we thought the guy was screwing shit up every day because he's just a moron. Turns out, it was his eight-year plan to inject some life into the political process.

Obama still has to be feeling good. He made up a lot of ground in a state very close to Hillary's backyard. It's one of, if not the, whitest state in America. And he gave a great speech afterward to show that he wasn't shaken by a perceived "loss."

Wrong. If Obama wins tonight, it's probably over. If he wins big, Hillary is probably just days from withdrawing. Now, it's painted as a big comeback for Hillary. She's in control of this thing again, and in a big way.

HRC had the money to stick around until Super Tuesday. This fact has never been challenged. She wasn't dropping out even with a loss tonight.

Again, if Obama wins big tonight, the race is over.
