Doesn't Huck have a better shot than Romney? Huck had no shot in NH, a third-place finish does him no harm. Romney spent like a mad man in Iowa and NH and took second.

(GB kinda beat me to it)

Damn, I really expected an Obama victory. I'm guessing more independents chose McCain.

But not much longer than that if mainstream Republicans continue to throw their support elsewhere.

Nah, nothing in particular I saw from Lou tonight. But if McCain is the republican nominee then the immigration issue is off the table for the general election, and that's bad for his business.

So a serious question, there's an age limit on the VP office too? Color me uninformed if you want -- I honestly don't know.

The veep has to meet the same criteria as the prez. 35 and older only.

**Note that back in the day, they didn't run for prez and veep as a ticket. The winner in the electoral college was prez and the runner-up was VP.

Winding down finally. McCain's night was a good one -- really fun to see. I know this is a board for sportswriters, but I have to say, if you get the chance to cover the NH primary sometime, take it. It's just a really neat experience. It was also fun to be in the winner's room. I imagine it felt different in other places tonight.

Flight leaves for Michigan in five hours, by the way.

Clinton, what the fuck? After McCain won, everybody was glued watching the Dems results come in. And later and later, as it seemed more likely that Clinton was going to win, you couldn't walk for all the jaws on the floor. I have no idea what happened there... Some suggested that independents who might have voted for Obama decided he was going to run away with it anyway and voted for McCain instead, but that doesn't account for what looks like a 16-point swing (according to some polls) in less than 24 hours.

I'm not sure McCain will get the bounce he might have hoped for because everybody's talking about Clinton.

Anyway, a really good experience here in NH. Too bad the bar closes in six minutes.

I don't know. Most of us remember the Clinton years pretty fondly.

Thanks. I guess that makes sense *there goes my shot at being VP anytime soon.* :-(
