I'll back away because while I think I'm well informed on both Bonds and Whitewater, the real truth is difficult to find, and I think I've reached the point where my inclinations can't speak for what I'm not aware of.
You can't with good conscience, however tell me that Hillary and Bill were completely innocent with Whitewater. Why was all that time and effort spent on digging up something if it wasn't there to begin with? Political biases aside, it seems to me that you need an acorn of truth to spread the story. The only thing the Lay investigation proved to me is that the Clintons are experts at covering their tracks.

Because the Ken Starr had a vendetta. Do you not understand that? Are you really as dumb as you sound right now?

And no, you're not nearly as well-informed on Whitewater as you think.

The Clintons might be crooked, but they did nothing wrong there, as much as idiots like you would like to think they did.

You've got to be kidding if you think I don't know he didn't have a vendetta. Hello, Monica Lewinsky!
You can't, however, throw your hooks into something that isn't there.

For instance say Ron Paul or anyone for that matter, is elected president and a Ken Lay type comes after him with charges he molested a kid in Africa in the 70s. No matter the size of the prosecutor's vendetta, he needs some truth to move forward, or else he won't find anything and he'll look like an ass for making the accusation.
There was something shady with Whitewater and even if I won't ever know what it is, it really makes me distrust the Clintons.

Jake, sorry to break it to you, but Ken Lay had nothing to do with Whitewater.

    It was Ken Starr.

You wanna talk about something, you at least should know the names of the major players.

Back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Ken Lay was involved in Enron. He had nothing to do with Whitewater. Like I said, get informed and quit spewing shit that isn't true just because you once heard somebody say it was shady.

And yes, you are extremely uninformed on the topic of Whitewater, to the point of looking like a fool right now.

This is why I don't post in political threads. The mere thought of wicked correcting me gives me the nervous ticks. ;)
