You can't, however, throw your hooks into something that isn't there.

For instance say Ron Paul or anyone for that matter, is elected president and a Ken Lay type comes after him with charges he molested a kid in Africa in the 70s. No matter the size of the prosecutor's vendetta, he needs some truth to move forward, or else he won't find anything and he'll look like an ass for making the accusation.
There was something shady with Whitewater and even if I won't ever know what it is, it really makes me distrust the Clintons.

Ken Lay was involved in Enron. He had nothing to do with Whitewater. Like I said, get informed and quit spewing shit that isn't true just because you once heard somebody say it was shady.

I couldn't disagree more -- whitewater was at the very least the begining of a whole lot of circumstancial evidence that the Clintons were (a) less than honest and (b) shady and (c) more than willing to toe the line of what is right and wrong in order to gain either power or money or both.
