I think Rudy will do better on Super Tuesday than you give him credit for. At least he better after putting all his eggs in that basket. And if he's still around, Paul could put up big numbers in Alaska.

I don't think Rudy has the cash to compete effectively on Feb. 5.

I think Hillary's next move is something like Mondale did with Gary Hart when he asked "Where's The Beef". One thing I noticed watching both of their speeches is that Obama gave no specifics - it was complete generalities. Hillary at least made a couple of points relating to issues and I think she was a lot more impressive with her speech. She can rise to the occassion.

I campaigned in New Hampshire in 1976, and I learned not to trust anything with the polls. In the first place, few people will tell you what they are actually thinking. I got the feeling they kind of enjoyed that, like playing poker. I spent all day knocking on doors, and there were only three people who offered an opinion. It was cold and snowy.

However, the blueberry pancakes this woman made were the best I have ever tasted. It made the long trip to and fro worth it.

  4. That's a terrible sign. That's something you do when you've got no money left, and we know that Mitt will self-finance forever if he has to do it, so that must mean the numbers in SC are really atrocious. (Here comes Fred!)
Hey, Gold, I worked '76, too, for Mo Udall. We probably drank cold ones at the Wayfarer and didn't even know it.

I think you're underestimating Huckabee. He can connect with non-Evangelicals.

The GOP elite might not like him, but the average man on the street GOP voter probably will.

Man, Frum, Bush's former speech writer, unloaded om Huckabee last night on the Daily Show.
I think even Stewart was a little taken aback by what he was saying. In essence, Huckabee is insane and doesn't have the smarts to be president.
I wonder how that went over at Huckabee HQ.

Talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

You see what happens when you run Shrub for President?

Everyone will think they can do it.

I have no doubt that the GOP insiders are just monumentally pissed at the Old Huckster, though.

No, I was there for Birch Bayh. I was in the town where the University of New Hampshire was - I think it was Dover. Udall got a lot farther.

Question no one has answered in New Hampshire yet:

Which way did Darmouth's Delta house vote?

No he really can't. I've found the average GOP would much rather choose McCain.
