Gee, Andrew Cuomo's still an asshole.

    What a surprise.

Maybe it's time for a new thread, but:

I just read about the recent national (Gallup) poll that has Hillary and Obama tied among Democrats at 33%, and--get this--has Old Fred leading Romney among Republicans, 12% to 9%. I don't mention this as a compliment to Old Fred, who, as I've said before, has a base. But Romney! Jeez-o-Pete! That does not bode well for the suited and slickly coiffed one.

PS--Potential DB here, as I'm not reading everything. This one jumped out at me.

Huckabee's got some disturbing religious views, but I think mainstream Repubs really hate him because he actually used tax money to improve Arkansas' services, infrastructure, and economy. Heaven forbid.

    Some 527, I'm sure.

The GOP establishment is going to absolutely destroy Huckabee.

Hell, some of the establishment GOP call Huckabee a "tax-and-spend" politician.

You're exactly correct. I don't think this is even arguable -- they hammered him on it in the debates, then laughed at him when he said, "Hey, we were next to last in education, last in this, last in that, what was I supposed to do?"

His tax proposal would be a non-starter on the national stage, but the venom is for daring to help the poor.

How proud you must be of the GOP political machine. Winning at any cost since 1972.
