Don't understand why Gingrich is slumping - it's not like he's anything crazier than what got him past Romney.
And now it's looking like Paul is going to get his 15 minutes.

Gingrich once famously told an aide he was divorcing wife #1 because "she isn't young enough or pretty enough to be wife of the President."

You're saying his ambition has changed?

Intrade now has Newt at just 8.3 percent to get the nomination. He's dropped 26 percentage points in six days.

You'll have to convince Joe Curl otherwise.

Mrs. Gingrich needs to spend more time in the South to thaw.

Yadda yadda yadda yadda blah blah blahhh.

Maybe if the GOP really wants to appeal to women or African-Americans, it should quit ceaselessly espousing policies which directly attack the interests of those groups. But nooooooooooooooo.

Gee, you'd almost think the GOP thinks women or African-Americans are utter imbeciles who will ignore anything and everything a candidate actually says or does as long as they have the right "look." Of course you could say that about white working-class males too.

God damn that Gingrich woman is one freaky-looking bitch. Same psycho Runaway Bride eyes as Bachmann. Lights on, nobody home.

There's a certain amount of anxiety that sets in when presidential candidates get enough traction. Like, can we really live with Newt Gingrich as our nation's overlord? Really? Really, can we?

The answer for many is 'no.'

Just sit back, close your eyes, and embrace the inevitable Romney.

It'll be Romney when it's all said and done. He's the only viable candidate.

Meghan McCain Unleashes On Callista Gingrich For Being 'A Mistress' (forgets her mom was one too)

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/20/meghan-mccain-unleashes-o_n_1161179.html

In a somewhat awkward attack, Meghan McCain argued on MSNBC Tuesday that Callista Gingrich is doing damage to her husband's presidential primary campaign because she is "a mistress," has an "icy" personality and has caused controversy in Gingrich's campaign.

"As much as you don't like talking about Calllista Gingrich," McCain told the panel of guests on "Now with Alex Wagner," "I think the fact that she was a third wife and a mistress and is coming off somewhat icy and reputation of being somewhat controversial within their campaign is doing damage. Maybe just to politicos, but I think it's something that people, and especially values voters, will bring into the race."

But those criticisms could equally be applied to McCain's mother, Cindy McCain, who was subjected to intense media scrutiny during Sen. John McCain's 2008 presidential campaign.

Cindy McCain began dating Sen. McCain in 1979, nearly a year before he filed for divorce from his first wife, Carol McCain. During the campaign, her fortune, which comes from a family beer distributorship, and her spending habits caused controversy, notably when her husband paused before remembering how many houses he and his wife owned. And her personal style was often described as cold and glazed over during the campaign.
