Yes. I'm sure the Rams are interested in Gruden. Why in the world would he pass on north of 6.5 million per year broadcasting football to coach that debacle?

 

Because maybe he knows that $6.5 million is going out the window soon, thanks to cord-cutters?

 

What's a debacle about it?

It's a bad football team, but bad football teams are the ones that change coaches. And this one has a reasonable amount of talent (especially on defense), an owner who doesn't meddle in personnel, and all the money Gruden could ever want for himself, assistants and players.

To get a jump on interviewing playoff teams' assistants?

 

I guess, though it seems more a matter of wanting him gone as soon as possible, especially after Saturday's embarrassment.

 

If the Rams are already looking at coaches, the clock has started and they don't want to fall behind. It makes sense.

This is based on Chris Cooley saying it on his radio show in D.C.

Once they brought Lewis back after the playoff meltdown, I thought he'd be coach for life.

 

If you take away his 16 losses, Ryan did a really good job in Buffalo.

 

Well, that's a pretty good reason, too.
