    It was actually 64 seconds.
After checking the play-by-play, the Jags actually had a second-and-11 at the New England 44 with 3:28 to go. The Jags ran a play, the Pats called a timeout before third down, and then they got that delay of game/sack/holding penalty pu pu platter to stop the clock again. Jacksonville punted and the Patriots got the ball back with 2:02. They scored with 58 seconds left.
The 64 second total also included only 19 total to run the last two plays, with the clock running.

Have Marrone and Reid ever been on the same staff at the same time?

Why wasn't the play negated by the DOG immediately blown dead?

Don't forget who had control of the ball then, Bortles. Would you have trusted him?

My lasting memory of the legend of Brady is the last drive in 2001 to win the Super Bowl. The Pats got the ball back with about 1-1:30 left and a tie game. IIRC Madden was waiting for the Pats to go to OT and the Pats let Brady drive them. Of course, what he did was throw a few dink and dunks and somehow the Rams let them get into FG territory. He did not exactly drive the ball downfield. Which maybe separates Belichek again from others.

hmmm, Got the ball at the 35, you need to go about 30 yards in 65 seconds, plus at least one time out.

It was a really bad look. And it was a harbinger of the second half.

Here were the first plays of each Jag drive in the second half. See if you can detect a pattern.

    1st and 10 at JAX 25
    (15:00 - 3rd) L.Fournette left tackle to JAX 27 for 2 yards (J.Harrison, T.Flowers).
    1st and 10 at JAX 10
    (7:31 - 3rd) B.Bortles pass incomplete short right to M.Lee.
    1st and 10 at JAX 9
    (4:41 - 3rd) L.Fournette up the middle to JAX 9 for no gain (L.Guy, E.Roberts).
    1st and 10 at JAX 33
    (13:37 - 4th) (Shotgun) L.Fournette up the middle to JAX 35 for 2 yards (M.Brown, E.Lee).
    1st and 10 at JAX 16
    (8:38 - 4th) (Shotgun) L.Fournette left tackle to JAX 17 for 1 yard (M.Brown, E.Roberts).
    1st and 10 at JAX 10
    (5:53 - 4th) (Shotgun) L.Fournette up the middle to JAX 9 for -1 yards (P.Chung).
Then, when they finally give up the lead:
    1st and 10 at JAX 25
    (2:48 - 4th) (Shotgun) B.Bortles pass short middle to M.Lee to JAX 33 for 8 yards (S.Gilmore).

Oh I agree with you; got to go for it. A couple of checkdowns, see what you get. Did the Jags even throw anything over 20 yds in the air? Well I do remember 1 shot to Westbrook. How about a TE seam route?
