I'm not sure even 8-8, 9-7 or 10-6 would have saved Sherman that year. Ted Thompson was hell-bent on bringing in his guy. Sherman was a good guy, and he deserved better than what he got from Thompson.

 

The amazing thing they said in the first half is that the Ariz. defense isn't allowed to check out of it's blitzes. So, even when everyone in the world knows that the Saints are going to pick up their blitz, the D can't do shit about it. It's been a problem to say the least, today.

As for Kurt Warner, the messed up part is that he will be remembered better if Green Bay would have won 48-45 in OT last weekend that what happened today.

I was hoping he would make it his entire career without a blowout loss in the playoffs. Not to be, sadly...
