The Saints only really did it for the last game. And the reason for the bruhaha over the Colts doing it was because they were undefeated and the fact that they had historically struggled after getting a playoff bye.

Both teams were very much ready to play. And with the Colts, they looked to have a totally different mindset tonight than they had in the playoffs under Dungy - more assertive, more willing to take the initiative on offense. Too often under Dungy they either came out passively and didn't wake up until it was too late or played soft physically. Tonight, they were neither.

 

Dan Dierdorf: "The Jets game is finally in the rear view mirror" for the Colts.

Really? We'll see about that if the Jets beat the Chargers.
