I've yet to see a receiver that Revis would have a problem covering. He didn't appear to have issues with Andre Johnson or Reggie Wayne -- both games were in domes. Jackson doesn't worry me like Gates and Sproles do.

The Jets-Chargers should be close. Obviously my heart is with the green but the Chargers are damn good.

I still remember the crazy game these two played in the 2004 playoffs. Was also probably the last time Pennington threw a ball over 40 yards.

I really can't believe all the sentiment for the Jets here -- this is a team on its way up but they still are very limited and frankly this happens every time a New York team shows a pulse - the hype is getting ridiculous.

Keep it in perspective -- they beat a very overrated and unimpressive team in the first round - a team that was beat up and a team that at least one announcer called a "fraud of a playoff team".

The Chargers are the best team in the AFC and they are ready -- I expect them to cornhole the Jets and then beat up the Colts like they always do.

If I am the Jets, I roll everything into coverage and see if LT has anything left, and everytime Sproles carries the ball I would hit him hard to slow him down.

    Easier said than done.

I'm sure the Jets will try to be very physical with Sproles, but regarding pass coverage, I expect them to take the opposite approach and focus on trying to take Rivers' head off.

The only approach the Jets take to pass defense its blitz from all angles and have Revis shut down the other team's big receiver.

The Jets gave up more than 24 points in only 3 games this year. In the last 7 games, they haven't given up more than 15. That kind of defense gives them a puncher's chance at least if they can muster anything offensively.

If the Saints lose it won't be because they took the last game of the season off. It will be because their offense ran out of gas a month ago. And because they rank 26th in pass defense and are facing one of the league's most explosive passing attacks.

As for the Vikings' running game -- Peterson's last 100-yard game was Nov. 15. His numbers in the seven games since: 133 attempts, 466 yards, 3.5 yards per carry average. And that includes a 6.0 average in the last game against the quitting Giants. He came close to 100 twice -- 97 against Cincinnati and 94 against Chicago -- but his average in both games was less than 4.0 (3.7 vs. Cin., 3.9 vs. Chi.).

In fact, other than that give-up by the Giants and his 18-carry, 133-yard game against lowly Detroit (25th in the league against the run), Peterson hasn't averaged 4 yards per carry in a game since Week 6 -- Oct. 18.

Conclusion: Peterson hasn't been the beast many believe him to be for quite awhile now.

That is actually the weakest point of the Jets defense. They have only two defensive touchdowns all season. The Chargers have three. New York is in the middle of the pack in turnovers, which is kind of odd given how good they are overall.

Agree with this. If the Jets D can get some hits on Rivers, I think this might be the closest game of the weekend.

With the Cowboys-Vikings game a close second.

Which is why I feel like he will really benefit from the two and half weeks he has had to rest up. He takes a pretty good beating with his running style.

    Saints just re-signed Deuce McAllister.

Love the Deuce, but I wonder what this means for Pierre Thomas...he's gotta be more injured than they're letting on.
