Drew Brees is the idiot who needed to be walked through a pie chart during the lockout negotiations.

What's your issue with Brees? I know you strongly dislike Sean Payton, but why Brees?

No issue. I thought he acted like a pompous weasel during the lockout, calling out former players for managing their money poorly. And I think something rings phony about him, but who cares.

    How about them rock-ribbed Saints!

    They're tough. Just ask them.

Brees got 460-something yards yesterday because he threw 63 passes.

That's still around8 YPA, and that's the benchmark for a strong number for that stat.

Surprisingly, Lomax had crazy numbers that year too... He was only about 400 yards behind Marino.

Here are the passing stats from 1984. Lomax really did have a nice year, throwing for 4,600 yards and 28 TDs while completing 61 percent of his passes.

I don't mind Brees, but I think he's perceived by some as being a stat whore.

Still going with Brees despite the Saints' failure to beat the Niners. His regular season was better than Rodgers'.
