At least when Marino broke the single-season passing record, he and his Hall of Fame coach went to the Super Bowl.

    Rodgers wins, post-season doesn't matter.

As for the bigger picture question of who is the best QB out of the three, I don't think this post-season should change anybody's mind on any of three.

Brady won where the others lost, but let's face it: Brady beat the Broncos. I don't think the Packers or Saints would have had any problem beating the Broncos and I don't know if the Patriots would beat the Niners or Giants.

If Brady wins the Super Bowl, he's back to being hands-down, the league's top QB, in my opinion. Anything short of that and it remains a toss-up.

I remember that well. That was the first year I ever played fantasy football, and my quarterbacks that season were Marino and Lomax. And the league I played in actually gave teams credit for every player on the roster -- starters earned double points, but reserves still counted -- so I got all those stats.

I don't remember anyone else I had on that team. They were pretty much irrelevant. Needless to say, I won the championship easily.

I don't think anybody could have watched yesterday's game and thought that almost any of the blame for the loss should go to Rodgers.

Brees made his share of mistakes on Saturday, but was also spectacular at times, something Rodgers wasn't yesterday. Then again, it's hard to be great when your receivers can't catch and your running backs can't hold on to the ball.

You're basing this off of what, exactly? Less INTs (14-6)? Rushing TDs? (3-1)?

IS this a serious question? I'll let you look up what Rodgers did this year.

Yeah, that's sort of my point. There has not been a game for any of the big three that would provide one with a clear argument for one over the other.

Brady is 1-0, but he beat a team that was fortunate to even be where it was.

Rodgers was 0-1, but his team did not play well, they played a Giants team that was peaking and his defense was not good enough to stop a good NFL offense, which the Giants have.

Brees was 1-1, but put up huge numbers against an elite NFL defense in the loss.

To me, you look at that and however you had the three ranked in relation to the other two before the playoffs, that ranking is probably still pretty much the same.

I did, hence the quoted stats in the previous post.

    All-Pro voting:
    Rodgers -- 47 1/2
    Brees -- 2 1/2

The MVP vote is going to be a landslide.

I'm gonna have to change my avatar here pretty quickly anyway, but I'm not gonna bet you on the MVP.
My choice of Brees is simply my viewpoint in the matter.
Just like when I thought Steve McNair should have won the Heisman back in '94 and when Peyton should have won over Woodson.

Neither one has a shot at SB MVP. Winning your division and failing to play in the conference championship game makes the MVP hollow. Don't misunderstand, if I were a player I'd rather start for the Redskins or Colts then ride the bench for the Patriots, but for Brees and Rodgers, winning the MVP without a one game chance to play in the SB is empty, at least until they're 50 or so.

And Brees or Rodgers would agree with you.
