No, LTL and I were both wrong. One of us (me) admitted it. The other one did not.

It's amazing how JC and others shit all over discussion threads and then blame somebody else for it.

I think of Rodgers throws for 350 and 3 TDs or something like that he may sneak to the front and win the award His game is on prime time this week and you know they will be showing the "Run the table" clip a lot and how the Pack was 4-6 and Rodgers has been lights out since then. If he has another performance where the Pack needed 6 wins in a row to get in and they do it...he will be MVP IMO. Right now I'd say it's 1. Brady; 2. Rodgers; 3. Ryan; 4. Zeke; 5. Dak

Goings-on in Denver today certainly bolster Derek Carr's case.

I'll be surprised if Rodgers gets it over Ryan. Rodgers has been terrific for the last six or so games -- 18 TDs, 0 picks -- but you can't ignore that they were once 4-6 and he had a lot to do with them underperforming.

Weird how Belichick screwed Brady out of the MVP. If the Pats had gone 1-3 during his suspension rather than 3-1, he'd be a lock right now. At least he would be if we're judging by how Rodgers is being judged.

There isn't that much difference in the stat lines between Rodgers and Ryan -- Ryan has 500 more passing yards (30/game), Rodgers has 200 more rushing yards and six more total TDs. And one team is 11-5 against a weak schedule and the other is 10-6 with a much higher degree of difficulty -- Packers have played every other NFC playoff team (4-2 record) while the Falcons have played only two of them (1-1).

The Falcons in their last seven games played one team with a winning record, and lost. The final flurry of Rams/49ers/Panthers/Saints isn't all that exciting. Packers in their final six games, all must-win, beat three other playoff teams.

ETA: In the "do it yourself" realm, Rodgers is the Packers' second-leading rusher, with 369 yards to Ty Montgomery's 457. Rodgers leads the team with four rushing TDs.

    QB Rat. Comp% YPA TD-PA
    Ryan 117.1 69.9 9.26 0.071
    Rodgers 104.2 65.7 7.26 0.065
    Brady 112.2 67.4 8.23 0.648

Ryan's the MVP. He got his team a bye. Packers only had the must-wins at the end because they lost to four non-playoff teams early. And they lost to the Falcons. End of season shouldn't get more weight than the beginning. And he beats out Brady on all the percentages, so even if Brady played 16 he wouldn't have passed Ryan in the numbers.
