I don't know about that. He had a pretty good rookie season - almost 1,000 yards rushing, 50 catches, no lost fumbles - but just fell off a cliff.

    I'd go with Courtney Brown.

Courtney Brown had a good game once against the Bears.

Revisionist history says Richardson was terrible. He was a decent all- around back on a bad team his first year. There seemed to be potential, and that made his last two seasons appear even more disastrous. I didn't watch him a lot at Alabama, but I have to wonder if his biggest issues are off the field. It's as if he forgot how to play football after his rookie year.

    He also scored 12 TDs.

No one's enshrining him in Canton, but he had a decent year in 2012.

In college,Richardson was always considered a high-character guy who worked his ass off. But once he got paid, it seems like his "give a shit" walked out the door.

He showed toughness, but no burst whatsoever.

You left off Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. McFadden had a short span of being above average, but for all the slurping of those two in college, they did zilch in the pros.

You've forgotten the question. McFadden is entering his eighth year in the league with about 6,000 total yards. Hardly "bust" material to a historic level.

Jones was a late first-round pick, which by itself moves him out of the discussion.

--As for non-QB busts, the Bears put their franchise in the hands of Rashaan Salaam, then did it again with Curtis Enis. Good times.

ETA: And then did it AGAIN with Cedric Benson, who I guess can't be called a bust for his overall career but sure can be for the Bears.

Interesting list. I'm impressed that you included Huey Richardson, who was useless from day one and only his draft status earned him a spot on the Steelers' roster as a rookie. He didn't get the hype of those other guys, but he was probably the worst player on your list.

A friend of mine who is a Steelers fan brought him up. I remembered him vaguely, but didn't realize how bad he was until I went back and read up on him. Apparently, Cowher wanted to release him outright after his first year, but ended up trading him for a 7th round pick, which is astounding when you think about it.
