Yeah, I just saw that.

How do you punish someone for something that happened four years ago when the police were summoned to the scene and made no arrests?

Rice got punished three times -- two games, then cut, then suspended -- for the same incident, all because of the video.

 

True, but his incident had happened during that off-season. Obviously, without the video, nothing will happen to Bryant. With it, I don't know... Is there any kind of precedent for this with the cops not being involved considering how long ago it happened?

I don't know the answer to this one.

The woman that got the shit beat out of her......supposedly it was his own mother.

 

He got arrested for that a year later, so no surprise.

 

I think this is separate from that incident. One of the stories said the victim in question was the mother of two of Bryant's kids and I think they're still together. Maybe the mom was involved too...

Does anything sum up the sad state of quarterback play in the NFL more than the pursuit of Josh McCown? A guy who was really good for half a season two years ago but otherwise has been a career journeyman is being courted by numerous teams -- AFTER being cut by the worst team in the league.

NFL teams have no idea how to evaluate and/or develop QBs.

 

Well... He's really the only QB free to visit teams right now... The others have to wait a few weeks.

 

Well, let's not pretend the QB free agent class this year is anything better.
