"Maxima" exposure hopefully means new uniforms for the cheerleaders.

Tom Brady reportedly came off well during appeal testimony | Shutdown Corner - Yahoo Sports

Heard Adam Schefter talk about this on the radio yesterday, too. An anonymous source claims Brady came off as genuine and persuasive during his appeal, so apparently the opposite of how he came off during the actual investigation. This whole thing seems pretty ridiculous. Does anybody believe the goal here is getting it right rather than doing what will work best for the NFL?

I'm really tired of hearing that the suspension is a problem because it is unprecedented. This is far from the first time the league has handed out an unprecedented punishment since Goodell took office. It seems to me, the only reason that is a problem now is because he did it to Brady.

I can certainly imagine Goodell being ready to make a deal and knock it down to one or two games, but it seems like Brady is ready to go to court unless the punishment is wiped away entirely.

Also, they are talking mid-July for a decision. Could they possibly drag this ridiculous process out any longer?

Heard today on the radio that there's a possibility this goes in the direction of the StarCaps case, in which a player not only played through lengthy appeals, he retired before his suspension was upheld.

Wouldn't shock me. The longer this drags out, the more likely I think it is that Brady plays in the opener.

Anonymous source? How about just say that Brady's agent thought that he did well.

Antonio Gates suspended four games for PEDs - NFL.com

NFL announces suspensions for four players Thursday, most notably Antonio Gates, who is out four games for PED use.

Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson and Cowboys linebacker Rolando McClain are also out for four games, both for substance abuse policy violations. Green Bay's Datone Jones is out one game for substance abuse.

It always amazes me how little attention this stuff gets when it is an NFL player. Imagine if an MLB star comparable to Gates was busted for PED use.

Gates claims it was simply a supplement he didn't know was banned, as a lot of the guys do. Not sure why the disparity in the reactions. Maybe because the only thing it helps it that can knock the shit out of each other even more. And baseball records are SACRED!

Seems like those reports might have been exaggerated:
