This is a special case as is obvi0us to everyone, and the rule should have been lifted. It's like the league goes out of its way to seek avoidable PR disasters.

Why is it a special case?

The point is, Seau's family isn't the first to be denied the chance to speak live for their posthumously inducted loved one. I actually found the video presentations a vast improvement, providing video highlights of the player's career in addition to the words of the presenter.

Not the Pro Football Hall of Fame, which is the group that has this rule in place. And has had it in place before now.

If this is that much of an affront to the family, then they shouldn't induct Seau and move on.

Again, bullshit. Your answer is a bully's response, childish and punitive.

You really think this is the just the Hall of Fame's rule and the NFL has no say?

The league deserves a spanking over this. They deserve it in interviews with the family and I'm still hopeful that one of the inductees will stand up for Seau's family and say something during a speech. All it would take is two lines.

It's bullshit. Jack Trudeau intimidates nobody.

It is a special case because the inductee took his own life in what should have been the prime of his life, and this is quite possibly linked to the permanent brain degradation he was found to have suffered as a result of being a great football player. If the Hall and the NFL can't look that in the eye, shame on them. In my mind, the Hall of Fame induction belongs to the members, inductees and their families. If it's not such great TV, so what?

Why Your Team Sucks 2015: Chicago Bears

"When we last left the Bears, they were crumbling under “QB guru” and man-who-is-mysteriously-hanging-out-at-a-playground-by-himself Marc Trestman. Turns out that hiring a lameass CFL coach isn’t the unorthodox masterstroke the Bears thought it was! WHAT A STUNNING TURN OF EVENTS."

I just came here to post that! My corners, asshole!

Anyway, I hate that I laughed through that whole thing. Reacher, you know the feeling.

NFL reduces Le'Veon Bell's suspension from three games to two while upholding Tom Brady's four-game ban. Of course, I still think it is likely Brady will be playing while Bell sits in the opener, which is a joke.
