As long as the Patriots win, who cares who plays?

This is getting to be pro wrestling. The soap operas, the dramas, the personal slights. It's stupid and sad..

Eh, just anybody who cares about integrity. Guess we shouldn't include you in that group.

The evidence that Brady directed the deflation of the balls is not rock solid, but he did lie to investigators. He also apparently had the cell phone they wanted to look at destroyed. As I mentioned on the other thread, when Brady's agent was ripping the NFL today, why didn't he dispute that claim? Hmmmm.

  4. I think Brady misses the opener. ... Steelers win Week 1 then get destroyed by a Brady-led team in the Playoff rematch. #bookit

    That would be nice.

Certainly a possibility. I see no reason to think the Steelers can even slow the Patriots down with Brady. If both teams meet with everybody healthy and eligible, the Pittsburgh would need a lot of luck and a ridiculous performance on offense.

  7. You're hatred of America is appalling.

There's also the school of thought that a Brady backup (Jimmy Garoppolo) with keyed-up team behind him beats Pittsburgh in the opener and Brady and Gronk full-on throttle them in playoff rematch.

Also possible, but the Patriots did lose quite a bit on defense. I'm sure Coach Hoodie will figure it out by the playoffs, but I wouldn't be shocked to see New England struggle with that early on.

Garoppolo is a beneficiary of Belichick's reputation. There's no evidence he sucks, but there's no real evidence he's any good, either.

Change of topic. CBS generic ad for NFL on my TV said, "this is the NFL's golden season." Puts Red Grange, Bronko Nagurski, Sammy Baugh, Jim Brown. etc. in their place. Disgraceful

True. People just assume Belichick will figure it out because he has done so consistently.
